| How to Use "Know Your Future" Biblically and Effectively How to Use "Know Your Future" Biblically and Effectively 1.
Realize that everyone starts already condemned to hell (John 3:17-18) and that
those who die without Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will spend eternity in a
real place called hell. Why Use the Know Your Future Booklet? This booklet brings the critical law of God to the sinner so the Holy Spirit may conviction their conscience and bring the knowledge of sin as a Biblical first step together with the "good news" that we have a Savior and Lord in Jesus Christ. Many modern evangelism techniques promise fruits of the spirit and a good life as a draw card to come to Jesus which is not Biblical. Jesus only gave grace to the humble, and used the law to test to see if the sinner was humble first. We agree and have found the following E.B. Earl statement Biblical and accurate "I have found by long experience that the severest threatenings of the Law of God have a prominent place in leading men to Christ. They must see themselves as lost before they will cry for mercy, they will not escape danger until they see it." For future teaching on this matter of using the 10 Commandments effectively and Biblically, please visit livingwaters.com and listen to "Hells' Best Kept Secret" by Ray Comfort. This booklet is easy to carry and use and helps equip any Christian with the weapons of spiritual warfare needed to boldly share their faith (Ep 6:15). This Booklet includes: an eye opening "bad news" (conviction of sin by the law of God) that prepares the hard heart of the sinner to receive the "good news" of God's grace and love; a title to provide an opening, or ice breaker to share your faith; it provides Biblical truth on the matters of sin, hell, forgiveness, and eternal life; uses God's word the Bible; has a model prayer for the sinner to repent in godly sorrow towards God; helps start them in an assurance to trust God's word; has grow suggestions; and promotes going to local Biblical based churches; and to get Baptized. How to use the Know Your Future Booklet First pray, and seek God for the boldness and equipping to be a witness for Him. Our website http://ministerwhereyouare.org provides some helpful tips to shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace that we are commanded to complete are Biblical armor in Ep 6:15. Be ready to preach the gospel in season and out of season (always), and never leave your home without carry tracts. If you ask for appointments to share your faith and go out prepared and equipped, He will set up appointments everywhere you go. Look for them as you go! Sometimes it may take a while to overcome your fear, so you can leave these tracts at gas stations, pay phones, with tips at restaurants, and many other creative places. Ideally you want to take the sinner through the tract and encourage them to repent and turn to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If nothing else, remember that you are obediently planting the seed that at Judgment Day, "if" they are judged according to the 10 Commandments, they would be guilty and deserve God's wrath and hell. Let the sinner hear your love for them and their fate without Jesus Christ. It was said "If they can't see your tears, let them hear them". Be friendly and smile. Hand them a booklet and ask "Did you ever get one of these?" Pray silently that God's word would be a powerful two-edged sword tearing down the blinding strongholds (2 Cor 4:3-4) so they might be set free and receive the salvation of God. If you get the opportunity to go through the tract, don't be nervous, or think you are too young in the Lord, know that the Lord is with you to deliver you (Jer 1:6-8) and that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Ask them if they consider themselves a "Good Person". Then when they respond "yes" as almost everyone does, ask them if you can test that by asking a few questions. Most people will say "sure". You now have permission to get the tract open and take them through four commonly brokenly of the 10 Commandments. Almost everyone will admit to lying and stealing something even if it was long ago and very insignificant in value. Then show them how Jesus fulfilled Isaiah 41:21 by taking them through Jesus on the Sermon on the Mount magnifying adultery as even lusting after one that is not their spouse, and how being angry without cause and hatred towards a brother are as murder to Jesus. You can take them to two others if needed on the next page. You then want to ask, "If you were judged on Judgment Day by the standard of the 10 Commandments as Jesus says He will judge, would you be guilty or innocent?" Here is where you are checking to see if the Holy Spirit is working in that person's life. If they say yes, continue in the tract. If the say innocent, you will need to keep probing with the law and the seriousness of their crimes against a Holy and Just God. If they admit they would be guilty, ask them "Would you expect God to reward your disobedience of breaking His laws by allowing you in heaven, or hold you responsible for your transgressions and place you in hell?" Remind them if you need to that they admitted to being a lying, thieving, adulterous, murder at heart. You might have to ask if they would expect God to punish someone that killed one of their loved ones and never got caught. When they say that would want God to judge that murder, remind them they admitted to being a murderer in Jesus' eyes already and ask if He shouldn't judge all the same way if He is just. They are usually now convicted by the Holy Spirit and the Law of the Lord has been perfect converting the soul as it says in Psalms 19:7. They have accepted the "bad news" and the "good news" will now make total sense, likely for the first time in their life. If the soul has been humbled and prepared by the law to receive the "good news" the rest of your witnessing opportunity should be as simple as reading through the remaining tract with them to show them what Jesus did 2000 years ago, out of love for them, to save them. Rom 3:23 and 6:23 will have been confirmed already by the law. If they do not receive the "bad news", I do not believe it is Biblical to present the "good news" lest they trampled under the blood of Christ. If they do not see themselves guilty by the moving of the Holy Spirit, they cannot see their need of a Savior, the "good news" will only be foolishness and a opportunity to poke fun at you and God. I suggest reminding them that "if" they are judged by the 10 Commandments, their conscience knows they are guilty, and leave them to consider it. Pray that God would cause them to come to agreement with that and turn them to Him for forgiveness and righteousness (a right standing with God). They will never properly turn to God until they thirst for righteousness. The law is like the salt in horses oats that make the horse drink deeply. A person convicted properly by the Holy Spirit will thirst for the righteousness of Christ as the only way to be cleansed of their sin. If you are able to take the humbled person through the remainder of the tract, you might encourage them to make things right with God by seeking Him in prayer. You can show them the "prayer" in this booklet or even show them how David responded to God in Psalms 51. Make sure they see they sins as vertical to God, not against men. Let them see this as a matter between them and God and that only God can save, not you or I. When going over the assurance or proof page, let the Holy Spirit validate their salvation. Never tell a person they are saved! Always ask them what scripture means to them. Let the Holy Spirit reveal to them that they trusted God's word. That Jesus does not lie so if they confessed in their mouth and believed in their hearts and walk with God, they will have confidence that they have the Son and therefore eternal life. The Holy Spirit will bear witness with them as God's word says. Many will say they have prayed a prayer in their lives before, some over and over again. They are just confirming that they really never had confirmation from the Holy Spirit that they are saved, only that they trust that someone said they were saved by praying a prayer. They never started an abiding loving relationship with the One that loved them and suffered and died in their place. They never truly had knowledge that lead to godly sorrow and repentance; and resulted in a growing love relationship with their Lrd and savior Jesus Christ. They can survive the trials and tribulations promised to all true believers, because they came to Jesus Christ to escape the wrath to come and for righteousness, not to simply improve their life here. Trials and tribulations should push them further towards God and even look forward to eternity with Him, as opposed to this world that gets uglier every day. Do
not seek a prayer, but seek their repentance towards God, because the angels in
heaven only rejoice over a sinner repenting. A false assurance of salvation is
worst then them being lost in the beginning.
